FLASH: Calls are being made in the name of this entity. NO-ONE
has been authorized to
make calls. Should you receive a phone call or E-mail indicating
it is from us, report them to
an appropriate authority.
The mission
of the Alliance is to "assist independent and allied
diabetes organizations
improve the physical and social well-being of persons with diabetes."
Membership is open
to anyone: individual, corporate, or association, who wish to
support this mission.
Although there are other national diabetes organizations, these
are centralized
agencies with a single core governance. The National Diabetes
Alliance is a "project by
project" partnership of independent diabetes organizations
throughout America who govern
themselves independent of a higher governance. Congressman Tip
O'Neil is credited with
the statement that "all politics is local." The Diabetes
Alliance equivalent statement would
be "all Diabetes is local."
Donations to the Alliance are processed and accounted
for by the Louisiana
Diabetes Foundation, a I.R.S. 501(c)(3) charitable entity.
